Ruderman Scholarship

The Ruderman Student Scholarship is an undergraduate scholarship for incoming freshmen or continuing students who are majoring, minoring or plan to minor in Jewish Studies at Northeastern University. The award consists of $5000 a year and, contingent upon funding, may be renewable for up to five years for a total of $25,000. To maintain the scholarship, students must remain enrolled in the minor and maintain a 3.3 Grade Point Average. If a student's GPA should drop below a 3.3 the award may be withdrawn. In their senior year, Ruderman Scholars will be required to submit a paper and/or creative project and make a public presentation such as a lecture or creative presentation as part of the Jewish Studies capstone course.

To apply for the Ruderman Student Scholarship, candidates must submit a three- to five-page proposal outlining their interest in Jewish Studies as a scholarly and/or professional pursuit, a resume, and a letter of recommendation from a professor. Selection of a student will be dependent on overall academic achievement and the quality of the student's proposal.
